Fashion Week Limited’s mission is to draw on its internal culture to produce internationally competitive (quality) events that will extend fashion design in Fiji and create commercial opportunities.

Fashion Week Limited (FWL), operating as a philanthropy, launched the BusinessFiji Fashion Week (FJFW) in 2008 with Ellen Whippy-Knight at the helm. FJFW serves as a premier platform for local designers, fostering global competitiveness in fashion design and driving export revenue through international demand. With improved resources and planning, FJFW has become a staple in Fiji's social calendar, nurturing the careers of aspiring designers and models, stimulating small to medium business enterprises, and introducing new employment opportunities in the fashion industry. Additionally, FWL has played a pivotal role in industry development by extending its IP and platform to Fashion Weeks in neighboring countries and beyond, fostering international collaborations and recognition, including membership in the Commonwealth Fashion Council. Despite challenges in funding, FJFW continues to thrive, contributing significantly to Fiji's economy and community, with a focus on fashion and design education and a commitment to transparency and community impact.

Each year, FJFW presents a 10-day extravaganza featuring a diverse lineup of events, including fashion workshops, charity lunches, designer showcases, and after-parties, attracting over 3,000 guests. Supported primarily by local corporate sponsorships, ticket sales, and designer fees, FJFW relies on partnerships with media organizations and service industries for funding and promotional support. While facing intermittent government funding, the dedicated team behind FJFW remains steadfast in their commitment to the event's objectives, ensuring its longevity and success as one of Fiji's longest-running and most impactful annual events. Through its unwavering dedication to fostering local talent, promoting industry growth, and enriching the community, FJFW continues to embody the spirit of Fiji as a beacon of natural beauty and warmth.
