Hi everyone, the crest chicken Sulu & Jaba Competition was a HIT, just got to tell you it was an amazing day, it was organised by FJFW and sponsored by Crest Chicken! First time ever such a comp been organised and how it will be an annual event. Our women really rose to the ocassion. We had 114 applications and 87 entries turned up which was heaps, it was so amazing to see all the women from the flea markets, kid designers, others who just wanted to show they could design and there were so many male designers.Simon Lee at 70 years old, straight as, had 2 garments in the semi finals. the objective was to modernise the jaba to encourage our young women to wear it more often and corporates to use as uniforms. The colours and unique styles, buttons, pleats, magimagi, shells, lace and mix of fabrics like cotton with chiffon was out of this world. Soon you can view and decide which you thought were the best.

Even I(Ellen Whippy) got one especially made and wore it for the first time in my whole life, it was so comfortable and gracious to wear! And Manju from the flea market who actually made mine the same mornign of the comp at 3am in the morning actually won the comp thats her at the top with the black and brown piece - it was stunning she sold it on the spot for $185 FD! and now has been inundated with orders as have many of the other designers - FJFW Objective achieved
