FJFW was a huge success, certainly a huge improvement on previous attempts.

The show was a great showcase of Fijian talents.
There was a big mix of contemporary versus tradition.
I loved the excitement and commitment and friendliness of all those involved and felt very welcomed from day 1. There was great organisation and a professionalism in the catwalk, the models, the lighting and the sound.

I loved meeting some of the young wonderful designers and felt the social aspect of the weekend was great!

Fiji Fashion Week for 2009 was amazing! I enjoyed watching up and coming designers showcase their "works of art" on a runway that could be compared to the runways I have seen in New York and in Los Angeles! I have produced several fashion shows and understand the work that goes on "behind the scenes" and I have to applaud the crew and production staff for the classy, professional fashion show they put on that really showcased each designer beautifully. I look forward to supporting the fashion industry in Fiji by working with some of the talented designers from Fiji for my US apparel company that I am producing and manufacturing all in Fiji.

I am really looking forward to next year's show!

I think the overall show was a success. I have heard many people saying positive things about the running of the show. Backstage was great because it wasn't chaotic. Plenty of space for models to move around and get dressed.

The white walls and runway was great to have.
